In light of the end of the “Global Savings Day 2021” event, the sponsor organizations aired a special episode dedicated to it on Mongol HD TV’s “This Morning” show on October 31st, 2021.
The German ambassador stationed in Mongolia, Jörn Rosenberg and the vice president of Bank of Mongolia, Enkhtaivan G., delivered a greeting in regards to Global Savings Day, and highlighted the importance of accumulating savings to citizens’ livelihoods.
The representatives of the sponsor organizations, Baatarsuren S., CEO of the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Mongolia, Amar L., CEO of Bank of Mongolia, Oyuntungalag B., Director of the Public awareness and financial education center of Bank of Mongolia, and Germany’s Sparkasse Bank’s representative, Markus Loh, discussed the significance of saving money and making it a habit.
Commercial banks and citizen representatives also took part in the show to talk about deposit products and their personal experiences with saving.
The sponsor organizations dedicated the World Savings Day event to students of 29th School, a special school for kids with hearing disabilities, and 116th school, a school for children with visual disabilities, providing information on deposits and savings, and presenting them with a certificate for a deposit and a camel figurine, encouraging them to make saving their money a habit.
