On October 1st, the "World Savings Day 2024" campaign was launched in Nalaikh District under the slogan "Save with Purpose." This campaign, organized for the eighth year in a row, is a collaboration between the Bank of Mongolia, the Mongolian Bankers Association, the Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Sparkasse Bank of Germany's Mongolia Foundation, and commercial banks.
The month-long campaign aims to enhance financial literacy and promote savings as a regular habit through a series of activities.
During the opening ceremony, speeches were delivered by G. Enkhtaivan, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Mongolia; S. Enkhtsetseg, Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia; Kh. Gerelt-Od, Director of the Administration and Management Department of the Deposit Insurance Corporation; Markus Loch, Representative of Sparkasse Bank in Mongolia; and O. Banzragch, First Deputy CEO of Trade and Development Bank of Mongolia. During the event, savings certificates were also presented to the children of Nalaikh District to emphasize the importance of saving.
