The “World Savings Day 2022” campaign was started in the city of Uliastai, Zavkhan province with the motto “Lets save for our future”.
At the opening of this year's campaign, Mr.Tserenpuntsag, member of the State Great Khural and Chairperson of the Economic Standing Committee, D. Tuvshinjargal, Governor of Zavkhan Province, G. Enkhtaivan, Vice President of the Bank of Mongolia, S. Baatarsuren, Acting CEO of the Deposit Insurance Corporation, and Mr. B. Medree, President of the Mongolian Banking Association, and executives of commercial banks gave speeches and provided information on World Savings Day, the importance of savings, and the role of banks in improving the financial education of customers.
Every year on October 31, "World Savings Day" is widely celebrated by countries in order to increase savings and money savings. Since 2017, Mongolia has officially celebrated "World Savings Day" by having a savings symbol.

Medree, President of the Mongolian Banking Association, and executives of commercial banks gave speeches and provided information on World Savings Day, the importance of savings, and the role of banks in improving the financial education of customers.As part of the campaign, which will last for one month, many activities will be organized to support financial education of citizens and to make savings a habit.
During the opening ceremony, the Deposit Insurance Corporation rewarded kids who successfully participated in the competition of “hand drawings & essay writing” with Deposit Vouchers and money collecting camels.
